Optional installation. Sizes 4' x 2'7" or 6' x 2'7". This strong and durable store chest provides concentrated storage. The top hinged lid provides easy access without encroaching into the garden. The low height suits awkward locations such as below a window. Qualty features include smooth planed framing with fully interlocked tongued and grooved cladding and a choice of red or green mineral felt. Pressure treatment is available as an option. Detailed instructions are supplied for easy DIY self assembly. The picture shows the 4' x 2'7" chest with standard immersion treatment.

  PRESSURE TREATED TIMBER: Pressure treatment is a lifetime preservative treatment. The preservative is forced into the timber under pressure and penetrates below the surface, whereas all other treatments apply a coat of stain to the surface of the timber only. Pressure treatment is almost colourless except for a slight green tint caused by the copper content in the preservative. No further treatment is ever needed but if you want a coloured finish you can paint over pressure treated timber with normal wood preservative in any colour.

  LENGTH AND WIDTH: In the SIZES & PRICES chart the first dimension listed is the length and the second dimension is the width. The width refers to the angled gable wall. All sizes quoted are the external shed sizes unless stated otherwise.

• Pressure treated 2" x 2" floor bearers (lifetime preservative treatment)
• Choice of green or red mineral felted roof
  

  FLOOR BEARERS: Bearers are substantial pressure treated beams under the floor, which will prolong the life of your shed. The bearers are the only part of the shed which is in contact with the ground and they are pressure treated for longer life. The bearers also raise the floor above the ground. This allows air to circulate under the floor to reduce dampness and also reduces saturation of the lower cladding boards.
